Nintendo announces the DSI Posted By: GameLinx on 03/01/2009
Nintendo introduces the Nintendo DSI, and this installment has 2 cameras. One on the outside case, and one in the middle of the handheld, between the 2 screens. This handheld will also come with an SD card slot, Wi-Fi status, power status, and a third unknown indicator. Currently the handheld is selling for 18,900 yen in Japan. The U.S. version might sell for around $180, slightly more than the $150 price of the DS. The U.S. release is still TBA in 2009.
Here is a comparison between the two sizes. They say the new DSI will be 17% larger and 12% thinner:
A program comes with the DSI that lets you manipulate your pictures via the handheld’s touchscreen. You can share your images with local DS users. The DSI can also connect to the DSI shop via a new online browser. Here you can buy and download games which are stored on your SD card. Nintendo says that the shop will feature re-done versions of both Brain Age DS titles.
